Asking how someone is:
- How are you?
- How are you doing?
- Are you OK?
Answering:
- I'm fine, thank you.
- I'm good, thanks!
- I'm OK.
- Not bad!
More formal:
- Goodbye!
- Have a nice day!
- Take care!
- Please (vær så snill)
- Thank you / Thanks (takk)
- You're welcome (bare hyggelig)
- Sorry (unnskyld)
- Excuse me (unnskyld, for å få oppmerksomhet)
Examples:
- "Can I have some water, please?"
- "Thank you for helping me!"
- "Sorry, I didn't hear you."
When you don't understand:
- Can you repeat that, please?
- I don't understand.
